According to UNDP , Bangladesh is the most vulnerable country to climate change. It is estimated that about 17% of total surface area will be down into water by 2040 because  of  sea level rise.The observed data a from 1970 to 2000 indicates that the earth surface temper autumn is staringature is gradually increasing. tHerefore,autumn is starting in late and spring is comimg in earlier. International Youth Council- Bangladesh Chapter is going to start its field level work very soon. Councilors of Bangladesh Chapter are working actively to launch projects.  We are very happy to have some enthusiastic people with us, they are really awesome. What do think about the issue of Dr. Muhammad Yunus and his ideas towards a poverty free Bangladesh? 4 Replies

Recently, Dr. Muhammad Yunus has been a great issue in Bangladesh regarding his professional life and also the ideas he developed. It also involves the global community as well to be concerned about the issue related with him. He is definitely a great and big personal in the country, but at the same time his ideas and principles of his micro-credit and social business have a great debate over the world with opposition to him.  As a Bangladeshi youth what is your view on this fact?? Be a part of IYC-Bangladesh Team!!!

We are looking volunteers for our next project ‘Green Channel’; organized jointly with Action Aid, UNYSAB, UWC (United World College) etc.

Project includes the following three stages-
Stage01. ‘Let’s Clean Bangladesh’:- A marathon Cleaning Campaign in 5-6 spots in Dhaka City.
Stage 02. ‘Let’s Go Green’:- A workshop on ‘How to be eco-friendly’ will be conducted by a team of Envi-volunteerism specialists and guest speaker Lizette Smook (the founder and CEO of Innovasian, Hong Kong).
Stage 03. ‘EnviOutcomes’:- Assist about 40 selected projects proposed by volunteers with funding, resources and guidance.

Project Timeline: 4th to 14th July, 2011.
