INTRODUCTION

IDEAS For Us is a United Nations accredited organization holding consultative status as a registered 501 (c) (3) charitable organization in the United States of America. We have been recognized as a leader in environmental action by the Obama Administration and our efforts to leave the World a better place have been personally acknowledged and congratulated by former President Bill Clinton at the 2013 UCF Commencement Keynote. IDEAS For Us is a youth led sustainability movement dedicated to taking action for a sustainable future. We continue to expand our scope and develop solutions by educating, engaging and empowering youth around the World to take immediate action. We specialize in bringing stakeholders to the table to develop solutions to the energy, water, food, waste and ecological issues facing humanity in the 21st Century.

The registration deadline is August 5, 2013.

ELIGIBILITY: WHO SHOULD APPLY
Youth Leaders and those who wish to become a sustainable activist, ages 16-30+ Advanced Youth Leaders and Young Professionals engaged in the UN or MDG studies, internships, fellowships or early work stages, ages 18-30+ 

How do I register for the IYC GREEN CONFERENCE?

1. Fill out the online application form. Please note that you will not be getting a confirmation email once your application form is submitted. You can simply proceed to step number 2. Application form 

2. Expedite your payment of the conference fee. For instructions on how to submit the registration fee, we would like to remind you that we have to receive your registration fee (after bank tax or fee). Thus we kindly ask you to cover the costs of the transfer. No applications will be considered until full payment is received. We will issue VISA letter only after we received the full payment.

3. Send a scanned copy of your payment of the application processing fee receipt to iycsrilanka@gmail.com Sending this receipt or note is crucial as it will help us match your application form with the payment. Failure to send the receipt will cause delays in processing your application.

4. Once the above steps are taken, your application will be reviewed. You will be receiving a registration notification approximately 3 business days after the scanned copy or money order has been received.

5. Follow the instructions given in your registration notification email.

ARRIVAL/ DEPARTURE PETTERN
Arrival

All delegates have to be present at the event venue on 23th of August after 2pm and all delegates have to leave the venue on 25th of August after 3.30pm. All Sri Lankan delegates have to arrange their own transport to the venue.

For International delegates

Our IYCSL team will be there at the airport (Colombo International Airport CMB–Sri Lanka) We arranged airport pick up from 8am to 6pm on 23rd of August to the event venue.

*Please request us if you need any transport & accommodation arrangement before or after than the scheduled times. All delegates can stay extra days at Colombo City Hostel on 20$per day with breakfast basis http://www.colombocityhostel.com/

Departure

We arranged transport for International delegates to the airport or Colombo on august 25th at 3.30pm.

Accommodations & Meals

2-night accommodation at the MIMT, Thulhiriya, Sri Lanka
Daily meals provided during the Program as follows

On 23rd : evening tea with snacks + welcome dinner
On 24th : all 3 meals + 2 tea with snacks

On 25th : Breakfast, Lunch + 2 tea with snacks
* Additional night and breakfast might be available for 20$at Colombo upon request
