IYC Chapter United Arab Emirates, will engage youth in Middle East and India will function with the objective to raise awareness about education to youth with

technical expertise to eradicate poverty and make them independent, especially focusing the rural and impoverished youth and at the same time stress on the need and acts of sustainable development. It will also share projects that will offer a
hand to those in need for causes like children suffering from Diabetes, girls not getting education, various charity runs, walks and fund raisers to support, youth exchange programs, conference participations and sharing to implement successful projects form local to global levels and integrating efforts; in planned phases

An Overview and culture of United Arab Emirates


The United Arab Emirates are made up if seven states ( or emirates ) which were formerly independent sheikdoms: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al- Qaiwain, Ras Al- Khaimah and Fujairah


Population: around 4 million


Capital: Abu Dhabi


Languages: Arabic (official), English is also spoken, along with Hindi, Tagalog, Malayalam, Russian, Tamil and others.


Currency: Dirham ( 1 Dirham= 100 Fils)


Timezone: + 4 GMT


The United Arab Emirates are generally recognized as the most cosmopolitan and ‘Westernised’ of the Middle East countries and the expat population is growing rapidly.  In fact, less than 50% of the population of the UAE are Arabs. 

However, 95% of the population are Muslims and Islam is the official religion.


Burj Khalifa is the tallest Tower of the World located in Dubai
