ADITHIYAN RAJAN, a 16-year-old living in the UAE, is an exceptional student and an environmentalist at his core. He is a true, responsible citizen of tomorrow, working with the most burning issues like the environment and social upliftment.

Adithiyan is a consistently outstanding performer in academics. Being a topper in various subjects, he has won the JSS Scholar award consecutively for the past six years. He has secured the FIRST PLACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST in INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARK TEST (Science) conducted by Australian Council for Educational Research for 2 consecutive years.


His talent of public speaking helps him to express his thoughts & ideas in an effective. He has won many awards such as the OUTSTANDING DELEGATE award at the HARVARD MODEL UNITED NATIONS, One of the best speakers in the inter gavel club contest etc. which has raised his confidence.


Apart from academics, he has been actively involved in many social and voluntary activities to give back to the community. He has demonstrated outstanding leadership in his mission to protect the environment and society in any way he can. From Planting trees, Campaigning for a greener environment, Writing newspaper articles, delivering Speeches, participating in Clean-ups to Volunteering his time and money to various charities, his efforts are varied but his goal is always the same – TO ENCOURAGE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY. With his astounding speeches, he has motivated many to work towards a sustainable environment. To celebrate every birthday of his, he plants a tree as an act of commitment to his mission. He ran a parallel initiative for a healthy future with the Plantation Campaign in India and UAE.  He has worked with several organisations and cooperation to make a greener future possible through his moving presentations, impactful campaigns and talks. He is a natural leader who believes in ‘ACT NOW, FOR A SAFER TOMORROW’.


Earth is our home. This is the only planet we have. It’s where we get the air that we breathe, where we grow the food that we eat, where we lay our heads at night. It’s where we live, where we play and it’s where we learn. Hence it’s our responsibility to take care of it. However, our home, and consequently our future, has been put under a threat by the climate crisis. Therefore, it is the duty of all the citizens in the world to take the ownership to deal with this crisis.

Hence, Adithiyan Rajan has rightly taken up this initiative to be a part of this social cause and to spread this message to all. It is not only his passion but also his concern towards the survival of all species, from insects to humans, living on Earth.



He has set his eyes on his mission to get into action to lead us into a greener future. With his immense determination and passion, he reaches beyond to make his dream a reality.


In his pursuit, Adithiyan has spread the awareness about protecting the environment by his direct interactions to about 4500 PEOPLE, all of whom realized and pledged to not only recycle & plant trees but also spread this message further.

Adithiyan has totally Planted a whopping 325 NUMBER OF TREES and about 20 Types, SAVED 68 TREES by recycling and DONATED 50 TREES.

Furthermore, as an active member of the Emirates Environment Group, he has collected more than 5.5 TONS OF RECYCLABLES, which resulted in him emerging as the TOP COLLECTOR OF GLASS for three consecutive years. His practice of recycling has led to a reduction of GHG EMISSIONS of over 23 METRIC TONS CO2 EQUIVALENCE, saved 8M2 OF LANDFILL SPACE and 46 BRITISH THERMAL UNITS OF ENERGY.

He has donated the prize money won for his academic excellence towards PREVENTING A CORAL CATASTROPHE. He has also donated towards the welfare of people affected in the Yemen War and the children at Dubai Autism Center.

Apart from these individual feats, he also runs several PUBLIC CAMPAIGNS and organizes many events and programs in places such as malls, hospitals, schools etc. kindling the people about the need of the hour and how resources must be optimally used (few of which have been published on national News Papers). These include

  • Delivering the ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY SPEECH & THE GREEN PLEDGE to students in schools highlighting the need to protect the environment and how students play a role in promoting a sustainable environment,

  • PLANTATION PROGRAMS as an effort to reduce air pollution, combat erosion, tackle desertification and deforestation, regulate water cycle and the carbon cycle, maintain biodiversity and ultimately curb global warming,

  • NO PLASTIC CAMPAIGNS to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and the need to reduce reuse recycle and reduce plastics,

  • ENERGY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN that has enlightened the people about energy conservation and energy saving solutions,

  • SEVERAL TYPES OF DONATION DRIVES to play our role as humans and help the needy,


Further, impacted countless other lives by participating and urging his fellow students to take part in CLEAN UPS, FUNDRAISING RUNS, WALKS, AND VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITIES. Such as


Adithiyan has utilized the best of the technology, engaging with through social media and his BLOG.

His passion for writing has not only helped him in this aspect but also developed his skills. He was bold enough to explore his ability to the fullest. In this journey, he was able to write a short story that was HIGHLY COMMENDED by the judges of the INTERNATIONAL SHORT STORY CONTEST 2018

In recognition of the mentioned efforts and his love for writing, he has been chosen as the ENVIRONMENTAL PANELLIST of the YOUNG TIMES MAGAZINE of KHALEEJ TIMES which is one of the major newspapers in the Middle East region.


By means of newspapers and magazines, he does his best to bring out a positive change in society by highlighting various issues that need to be addressed which are read by millions.  Articles regarding his initiatives and vision published in the GULF NEWS and KHALEEJ TIMES, prime daily newspapers in the Middle East, have taken his messages to about 4 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS.

He has helped change the minds of thousands of people, particularly young students, to think and care for Mother Nature. He has won "THE INTERNATIONAL DIANA AWARD" which is one of the most prestigious global awards presented for his outstanding & selfless contribution to the community and environment.

Considering all these activities, it is not a surprise that his name has become synonymous with the environment since these activities have created awareness ripples across the society, ensuring that more people join to support these causes. His dedication is highly infectious as in a short interval of time he has a huge number of followers in school and outside.  The difference and enormous impact he has made on the community is so immense that his imprints can be seen across the community, making him a TRUE ROLE MODEL for all.
