ARE THE YOUTHS READY FOR CHANGE?

The essence of education is to draw out the potentials within
To enhance your reasoning and mental capacity
Such that you will be different from someone who doesn't have formal education
Unfortunately, many youths today seek for easy way out
by engaging in malpractice to get certificate they cannot defend.
Are the youths ready for change?

That the government officials are not sincere may be correct
But how faithful are you in abiding by the law?
Common traffic light we can't obey
Many times we jump the queue
Are the government officials responsible for that too?

We embezzle Student Union Government funds
We collect bribe in order to cast our vote
We go through backdoor for almost everything
yet we clamour for change

This is not to justify the evils of our leaders
But we need to do our part
We can't clamour for change and refuse to change ourselves
Change will begin from you and I

There is no point asking the youth to lead if we won't do things differently
There is no need to seek for leadership when we are not ready to serve
The youths are the hope of the future
Even if the past generations failed, We can afford to fail

Once again I ask
Are the youths ready for change?
It is a question you and I need to answer with a sincere conscience
Backup with necessary actions

Enough of talking about what is wrong
It is time to engage our mind positively
Let us arise and focus on solution
Let us hold our leaders accountable
And be the change we seek

God bless our youths
God bless Nigeria

MY GENERATION AND I.
- Micheal A. Ogunshola, esq

My generation has me to look up to.
I am the leader of a shade of thinking, a way of reasoning, a tone of speaking.
My generation has me to listen to.
I fetch my words from the ferment of deep places dug in the transaction of soul and spirit.

This generation needs me so. To nurture, raise and carry beyond the dividing threshold between darkness and light; between lack and plenty; between irresponsibility and true leadership.

Responsibility lies on my shoulder; passion lurks in my eyes; faith breathes in my heart to rid my generation of the scourge of subhuman existence, the tragedy of wasted opportunities and the indecency of foolishness. This generation chose me first; I have embraced the call. I'm aware of my importance in its redemption, I cannot let my generation down.

My generation has me to look up to. To set new standards, I must. To blaze new trails and shift the frontiers of possibilities. It's my call.
To inspire greatness in men and implant in them seeds of true being. It's my job.

And wherever the lines of commitment run through, be it in the windy paths of a harrowing harmattan or in the open oven of a scorching sun, you will find me at the head. I shall bring to justice the nuisance that has pillaged our days and now threatens our future. I will stamp my feet on this patch of history that has been assigned to me. By God, I am responsible. I am a leader. My generation has me to look up to. I will not fail.

(If you identify with this, do share your passion with me. You will succeed!)

Hello Grandson Christiana. Please be careful with your dubious Job or work placement offers. I'm not interested. Just watch, the long edge of the law will catch-up with you soon.
