IYC-Bangladesh is very much pleased to announce that it's first formal inaugural program is going to be held on 28th September, 2011 from 4pm to 6pm at Conference Hall, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. All the participants and IYC volunteers are requested to attend the program timely.

International Youth Council- Bangladesh Chapter is going to start its field level work very soon. Councilors of Bangladesh Chapter are working actively to lunch projects. Pohela Boishakh or Bengali New Year is the first day of the Bengali calender, celebrated in bothBangladesh and West Bengal, and in Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura.
Poila Boishakh connects all ethnic Bengalis irrespective of religious and regional differences. In Bangladesh, it is a national holiday celebrated around 14 April according to the official amended calendar designed by the Bangla Academy.
