I am engaged with some other local Youth Organization like BYLC, CYDI and DUES etc.

01. Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is a non-profit leadership institution in the country. I am a graduate from this institution being a participant in 4 months long BBLT(Building Bridges through Leadership Traing)-05 program. It was Originally developed at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Now Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) has been established as a premier youth leadership training center in Bangladesh. BYLC exists to promote competent and compassionate leadership in society by uniting youth from diverse backgrounds, providing them leadership training, and engaging them in service oriented projects all over Bangladesh. BYLC holds vission to create a poverty-free Bangladesh driven by the next generation of home-grown leaders. (

02. Dhaka University Environmental Society (DUES) is a students club registered under University Youth engagement. I am a member of this club. It works to promote sustainable environment through engaging youth campaigns, activities and knowledge. DUES is the first Environmental club in the public universities in Bangladesh, that works for campus and national environmental issues with a strong youth engagement throughout the country.

International Youth Council- SriLanka chapter (IYCSL) has organised an International Green Conference 2013 in Sri Lanka on August 23rd to 25th at MIMT, Thulhiriya. The Green conference focus on ‘Building Youth Leadership for the Success to ensure Environmental Sustainability and develop global partnerships’ and on the theme of ‘On the Road to Youth Engagement: Moving Beyond the sustainability. Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy is the official event partner for this conference. Honorable Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy of Sri Lanka will attend as chief guest to the conference.

The IYC Green Conference is design to focus on building Youth Leadership for the Success to ensure Environmental Sustainability and develop global partnerships. It brings together the most active young leaders who are changing their communities. It will have a dynamic program that combines inspiring speakers, 13 hour training event using lectures, break-out sessions, multimedia presentations, workshops, networking and action projects in order to provide 150 young participants coming from hundreds of countries with a life changing experience that will both inspire and empower every individual who attends the event. The conference design on the theme of “On the Road to Youth Engagement: Moving Beyond the sustainability”.

hi joynul, what sorts of things does the bangladesh chapter of the IYC do or has done? do you have meetings? i am looking to start a chapter for canada, but i'm a bit nervous. canada is so big. how do i connect with all the youth? how does your chapter do this? also, does the IYC provide you with any help/resources? any help would be most appreciated. thanks so much joynul!! regards, aaron
