The United Nations Conference on Climate Change held in Doha , Qatar sought to urgently revive the Kyoto Protocol. Known as COP18 , this mega conference brought thousands of activists , political leaders , negotiators to the magnificent venue - the Qatar National Convention Centre ( QNCC ) .

It was indeed a privilege to be the youngest delegate at this climate change conference. We, the youth, worked really hard to impress upon the negotiators about the urgency of taking tangible action on climate change. We led protests on the inclusion of Article 6 -- which talks about education . As a girl leader , I also stressed on balancing out the gender bias.

I was the youngest panelist at a youth discussion which also included representatives of UNICEF , FAO and the British Council.

We, the youth , also a organised a unique "Climate March" along the Doha corniche -- the world media was there to cover it and carried our message to the world leaders to act .
